Meet Our Team
Mark McElrath
Mark joined Sunrise Association in September 2015 when Horizon Day Camp-Baltimore launched. He assumed the role of Vice President of Development before transitioning into the Executive Director role in 2017. Mark has worked in Baltimore since 2004 with both local and national based organizations, including Regional Director and Major Gifts Officer positions with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Regardless of project and scope, Mark’s focus and philosophy concentrate on building meaningful, sustainable partnerships and mutually beneficial relationships. Mark earned an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Westminster College and a graduate degree in Sport Management from Slippery Rock University.
Dr. Yoram Unguru, MD, MS, MA
Dr. Unguru is a pediatric hematologist/oncologist at The Herman and Walter Samuelson Children’s Hospital at Sinai and a Core Faculty member of The John Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics, Baltimore, MD. He is also Assistant Professor in the School of Medicine, Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Unguru earned his M.D. (valedictorian) at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology / Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine. His M.A. with a concentration in the history of medicine and medical ethics, and B.A. in historical studies, were granted at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Dr. Unguru also received a Master of Science (valedictorian) in interdisciplinary studies in biological and physical science at Touro College / Barry Z. Levine School of Health Sciences. He completed his pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital at Sinai and his pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington DC. Dr. Unguru was a postdoctoral Greenwall Fellow in Bioethics and Public Policy at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Unguru is board certified both in pediatrics and in pediatric hematology/oncology.
Jill Rosato Huey
Jill joined Horizon Day Camp-Baltimore in July 2019 as the Director of Development. Jill has 24 years of fund development experience in healthcare and human service organizations. She spent 18 years in major gift and leadership positions at affiliated University of Maryland Medical System hospitals including, Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital, University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center, and most recently as Senior Director with University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center Foundation. In addition to securing major philanthropic funds while with University of Maryland Medical System, Jill spent four years with The League for People with Disabilities and Camp Greentop, a wheelchair accessible camp for children and adults.
Lisa Kadish
Lisa serves as Horizon Day Camp-Baltimore's Registrar. She manages all aspects of camper registration, working closely with Horizon families and hospital personnel. Lisa also helps facilitate a variety of roles with summer staffing, and she provides office support throughout the year. Lisa’s career has spanned both the private and nonprofit sectors. Most recently, she served for 12 years as the Community Relations, Volunteer and Office Coordinator for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic.
